Delivery

Shipping and delivery

Where do you ship to and how long does it take?

We can ship to any UK or international address. Please allow 3 - 5 business days for us to process, pack and ship your unframed edition, and 28 days for framed prints and sculptural editions.

What shipping method do you use?

For our UK and overseas shipping we use the international delivery company UPS. We use their Express service which means the editions are only in transit for a very short time. When your order is ready for dispatch we send you an email to let you know it is on its way. The email will contain a tracking number that you can use to follow the progress of your delivery. It will be delivered to you using the UPS Express service. This is an overnight service, Monday to Friday, which requires a signature on delivery. Once your edition has been dispatched delivery times are:

UK next business day delivery by 1030hrs
Most addresses in Europe next business day delivery by 1200hrs
Next business day to New York City and second business day delivery by 1200hrs to most other addresses in USA and Canada
Day definite delivery in 2 to 3 business days as early as 1030hrs or 1200hrs to select areas in Asia

Please do contact us if you have any specific shipping requirements or enquiries regarding delivery times. We can normally arrange for a delivery to be made on a specific day, and Saturday deliveries can be organised for a small extra charge.
For deliveries in a close radius to our office we use a local courier company. We will contact you to arrange delivery at a convenient time.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping within the UK is free.
For shipping editions outside the UK please see average costs below. The actual cost will be calculated once you go through the checkout process and enter your delivery address:
Europe (excl. non-EU countries) £50
Non-EU countries £70
USA £75 unframed, £85
Rest of the world £125

Please note that any import duties which are incurred with an international shipment are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Can I track the progress of my delivery?

When your shipment has been dispatched you will receive an email indicating when to expect delivery. Your UPS tracking number will be included in the email so you can track your delivery online.

Can I provide separate billing and delivery addresses?

Absolutely. You can provide any delivery address including a work address. Please bear in mind however, that someone will have to be present to accept delivery, as a signature is required. This could be a relative, a neighbour, or even a concierge.

Can I collect?

You are most welcome to collect your edition if it is easier for you. Please call us to arrange a suitable time.

Returns

Do you have a returns policy?

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee if you are not happy with your edition. You can return your edition for FREE via a pre-paid UPS service. Please note that returns must be made in original packaging. Refunds will be made to the original method of payment.

FAQ

About Limited Editions

What is a limited edition print?

Counter Editions works closely with leading contemporary artists to commission limited edition prints from either a new or existing artwork. A print or sculpture is produced in a limited number from this original artwork under the direct supervision of the artist. Prints will be hand-signed and numbered by the artist, and sculptural editions will be accompanied by a signed certificate-of-authenticity. A small number of Artist Proofs (APs) will also be produced. These are generally identical to the prints in the main edition. The number of prints is always strictly limited to the number in the edition and the APs. No further prints are ever produced. We sometimes make the APs available for sale once the main edition has sold out. Please ask.

Pricing

What is a special price?

Most of our editions are released at a special launch price, and are made available at this special price for a limited time. To find out when editions are launched and for other special offers we strongly recommend you join our mailing list. We don't bombard you with emails and you won't receive more than 10 or 12 a year in total.

Do the edition prices change?

As an edition sells and there is less availability the price increases. Most of our editions are launched at special launch prices and they are available at this special price for a limited period. In order to be aware of the launch we do recommend you join the mailing list.

Framing

How are the editions framed?

Please contact us if you wish to discuss the framing of your edition. We no longer off a framing service on behalf of collectors but we can point you to a number of reputable local framers. In some cases we can also provide you with a specification for framing in the style chosen by Counter Editions in collaboration with the artist, which any good framer should be able to work from

Privacy

How will Counter Editions use my personal information?

Counter Editions is firmly committed to respecting your privacy. Please rest assured, we never have and never will share your details with any third party. If you are on our mailing list you will only receive emails from us about new editions or offers, and you can remove yourself at any time from our mailing list using the fully automatic link in any email sent to you.

Restricted Quantities Per Customer

Counter Editions was established to offer affordable artwork by leading contemporary artists with the ambition of widening the ownership of art. With this in mind we restrict the number of each edition that a customer/household/family/group/organisation can buy.

Title

Title (ownership) only passes to the purchaser once the artwork has been delivered and we reserve the right to cancel an order at any time, up to the point of delivery.
A founding principle of Counted Editions was the wider ownership of art by leading contemporary artists through the publication of limited edition artworks. It is ours and the Artist's hope (and expectation) that the artwork will not be purchased for resale and will be retained by you for your own personal enjoyment. Specifically, that you will not sell or offer for sale the Artwork on any internet based auction or other website. In order to preserve this founding principle we reserve the right choose who to sell our editions to, more specifically we reserve the right to cancel any orders by a buyer who we deem to have the intention to resell the edition.
Any person(s) making unauthorised purchases on our website through whatever means will also have their orders cancelled.

At those times when we are experience high demand prices are subject to rapid change. As such the price for an edition already in your basket may change during the shopping and checkout process. The actual price payable is the price at which your order is accepted and confirmed.
The price payable for the goods you order is as set out in store, plus any charges for delivery if applicable. If in the UK all prices include the current applicable VAT rate unless otherwise stated.
